AOL india email provider

Here comes another email provider,yes its aol.in. I personally tried this email provider and dont seem to like it as i found it buggy. The two versions are available in it ,for the broadband users and for the dial up users. In the broadband version, the starting screen is very annoying called the”todays news”.

There is no way to disable it. If you want to shift to lite version, then you can but the problem is that when you login next time, it will login you to the broadband version only, this is the bug i guess.

And the features also are not so impressive, compared to the gmail and is kind of slow as compared to gmail.

The only feature that i like is “it gives a voice notification that you have a new mail”, its useless though and is available only in broadband version.

Rar player

Rar player is a cool software that lets you play the video without even unrar it. It saves both time and disk space. Although you need unrar.exe from winrar site.This software works with vlc player or mplayer.So you need to download the appropriate rar player for the player you want to use with.Copy both the files i.e unrar.exe and rarplayer into vlc player folder and run the rarplayer file from the folder itself and browse to the appropriate rar file that you want to open. 

Download videos from youtube,metacafe,google videos etc.

Now you can download videos embedded as flash from youtube, metacafe etc.

Paste the url of the  metacafe or youtube link in the above site and you will get the download link from where you can download the file to your compute. Although you need flvplayer to play the file,this player is freeware and you can easily get it by searching on google.
