Gtalk-fake idle

As gtalk has not updated itself for quite some time and many people are using it and want many more features like ‘appearing invisible’ and many more…..here is the ‘fake idle’ for gtalk, if you don’t want to get bugged by your friends when working. Even if your status is ‘busy’ they will always bug you. So use this, they wont know whether you are really away or faking unless you reply to their messages.

Facebook leaking user’s personal data

Facebook as we all know is a social networking site like orkut but its taking the advantage of its applications like movie quiz, brain quiz etc. and sending the feedbacks to the company people who sponsor such quizzes. Sometimes its also sending people’s personal details to the companies…..this is not ethical.

I am not sure whether such thing is happening or not but I think facebook was in the news regarding this issue only sometime back.

WordPress- requires new features

WordPress is best as far as avoiding spams on your blog is concerned, but the need of the hour is that it should also focus on some word processing features like MS word has. I type in word 1st and then copy to wordpress. The auto correction of the spellings is the feature I would like to have in wordpress and also 1st letter as the caps automatically when I start a new sentence.

AOL mail- annoying

Aol mail is very annoying as my messages won’t get delivered or find their place in the spam folder. Although it is trying its best to show itself via the television ads that look impressive, but its not worth to use it as your primary mail, it suits best as the secondary mail. It can never beat gmail in speed and delivery of messages.

Suicide at Infosys

There was a suicide done by a girl in the Infosys, Mysore girl’s hostel. The news came from of the employees working in that campus. The possible reason told by the employees could be due to excessive pressure of training that she could not handle. Moreover the HR person there asked the other employees not to disclose this incident to secure the repo of the company.

Blogger vs WordPress

I have used both blogger.com and wordpress.com, I find blogger to be more liberal as it allows you to put up just anything you like, as it allows you to edit the html code.
As far as the avoiding spams is concerned, wordpress is the best. One more thing that I like about wordpress is that it automatically indexes the blog on google search engine and people find it easily.
For blogger we have to do it manually, but now i guess as the blogger is bought by google, it must also have this feature.

New Gpass

The new version of Gpass is better than ever, helping students and professionals to unblock their internet resrictions in colleges and offices.

The new feature that Gpass has is that you can directly run from the portable device like pen drive without having to install it on the system. This is more useful for those computers where you cannot install anything.

Online friends in orkut

Orkut should make some provision to tell whether our friends are online or not, though there is a gtalk feature which gives the indication when a friend is using it, but not all times we use gtalk.

The other way is by checking the scraps, but this is only a guess work. Facebook is far more superior to orkut , not only in this feature but also others, I like its privacy option which doesn’t allow a person to see the pics unless he is our friend, orkut adopted this feature very late after being used by people for harassing others.

FACT: Orkut is just second in popularity after myspace which is very much in use in US.
